the buttons did it.

I was feeling ambivalent about the Hoodie until I got the buttons on. They gave it just the right amount of shape, just the right amount of closure to make this a winner. Buttons buttoned, the fabric just behaves — no more hanging or stretching or awkward pulling to get the sweater to sit right. Instead of regretting my yarn choice, I can just enjoy the softness.

The buttons themselves are quite pretty, in an understated wooden kind of way. As usual, I found them at the local department store — always a surprise. I like the light wood with the black yarn — just the right amount of pfiff to add to an otherwise plain black cardigan. And the best part: I had only 40g of yarn left over!
