déjà vu

Yep, another Silk Garden Sock. Looks a lot like the first one, doesn’t it?

I’ve decided not to completely scrap my knitting plans, but rather to revise them slighty. This time taking, um, reality into account. Instead of knitting for her entire (albeit small) immediate family, I’m just going to send off the Silk Garden socks to my friend. If I have the time, and inclination later, I might knit some other things for her parents.

Such a simple solution. You’d like I would have realized it earlier? Like the fact that working on my dissertation prospectus — not worrying about it — produces results. Weird.

  1. Ah yes, I do the same thing (worrying!). The socks are lovely, and I’m glad that you found a way to still do some personal knitting for your friend and retain your sanity at the same time.

ps – I’m SO behind in commenting! Did I read that you are moving to NJ?

  2. I’ve been wanting to make Silk Garden socks for some time now – I think they will make a wonderful gift, they are beautiful!

  3. Much more sensible plan to knit just for your friend. I love Silk Garden.
Oh, I tagged you for a meme. Details on my blog.
