first paycheck wool!

It’s been one of those days.  So I’m glad I decided to get some yarn: the very first paid for with my very first Nashville paycheck.
I’m trying my hand at a spot of financial responsibility, but today was a day that needed some woolly uplift.  Haus of Yarn and ecological wool to the rescue!  This lovely dark brown (8020) is so much softer and loftier than I’d imagined … I was thinking “ecological” = “rustic”.  Not so.
It seems that with the beginning of September has come a desire — inverse to the amount of time available for my crafty endeavors — to knits sweaters.  Lots of sweaters.  This is what I have in mind for this wool.  Now, to find the time.

  1. yay for paycheck wool! i have been thinking the same thing, but about fiber. moments ago, i dumped out all my handspun on the floor to try to figure out what i want to knit with it. the goal is to have a handspun project on the needles at all times. i realized that i need to have more of things so that i can make more than small bits of accessories with handspun…and your post has provided further enablement. also, i LOVE eco-wool — lovely to knit with, and it really softens and drapes wonderfully after blocking!

  2. There are a few patterns that I want to knit that either seem to call for the Ecological Wool or someone has used for it themselves. I tend to look at the name and think ‘rustic’ also but I’ve never seen it in real life. I want to use it sometime. The color you got is so nice and earthy and a happy, memorymaking yarn for your new home. 🙂
