All that’s missing is the pockets.  And yet … predictably, I just can’t seem to gather quite enough enthusiasm to look up the best way to sew on some pockets.  Then actually sew them on, getting all of the fiddly little details matched up and balanced out.

I never know how honest and open to be on the internet, but these last few weeks have been an especially rough, harried, patch.  In fact, I’d like October back and I’d like it to be different.  It’s been hard.  And when life is hard, I want knitting to be where I find pleasure.  Not more complications.  So that’s what’s going on with the pockets.  I’ll get there.

  1. i hear you on openness and the interwebs. and on those weeks you want to trade in for a re-do. but november is (36) hours away, and it will be different. and those pockets can wait til then. hope you find time for the kind of knitting you need this weekend!

  2. I’m right there with you on the internet thing — it’s a tough balancing act.

I’m sorry this is a rough patch! November’s almost here, and it’s the weekend, and there’s plenty of yarn and tea in the world. Plus kids in crazy costumes. I’m having some grad school conundrums right now; it’s hard to know what will make me happy in the long run, versus what’s manageable in the short term. Blech.

  3. Feeling with you about the rough patch – and about not feeling up to fiddly knitting! I’m knitting hats for similar reasons right now! Don’t put yourself under pressure with those pockets; November will be better! Have a good Sunday!
