Remember the chunky baktus? (Mysteriously un-raveled until this very moment.) It’s pretty great and very giant.
Apparently, this is my early-morning presidential pose. What caught my attention on the ceiling? No idea. A cobweb? Most likely. In any case, it was the last day of school before Thanksgiving break …
… and now I’m back, after a fantastic trip to California for the fourth-annual Sistersgiving: I made a start on Leaves of Grass, ate lots of delicious food, got plenty of sleep, and caught up with my sister.
I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful holiday (weekend)!
So cheerful and cozy! I didn’t realize how substantial and chunky it was from your photos when it was in progress.
A California Thanksgiving sounds awesome — I hope you had some great wine, too (one of my favorite parts of visiting California, even though I’m not truly a wine person).
the first time I read this, I thought, man, katie’s going to read Whitman on vacation?! love the pose in this picture, and boh and i are happy to hear that sistergiving was a success!
This looks amazing!
Yay, weekend! That is by far a giant, action-packed scarf. Enjoy it – looks cosy! 🙂
Haha. I thought of Whitman when I read your post, too. But hey, Jared Flood ranks up there with the poet.
Now you’re tempting me to knit a giant Baktus in a chunky yarn. Nevermind that I’m already wearing a fingering weight version.
Sounds like a great holiday.
Lovely scarf!
So chunky, and such vibrant pictures! A great scarf for winter..
